Covid-19 Policy September 2020
Sarah Moore Dance is committed to providing Covid-19 secure classes. The following procedures have been put in place for the safety of all participants and teachers.

Rule of Six
Dance classes come under the umbrella of fitness, training or education, health and wellbeing which are all allowed provided they are Covid compliant. The current government guidelines can be found here.

Before Arriving At Your Class

  • If you feel unwell, please stay at home
  • Please arrive changed ready for class as there will be no changing rooms in use
  • Please bring as little as possible into class in one small bag, this should include a filled water bottle if required
  • Dance shoes should be worn for all classes – no bare feet please
  • All studios will be cleaned before classes commence

On Arrival

  • Please do not arrive early for your class, entry to the venues will be at the start time of the class. Please wait outside (or in your car) until the designated time to avoid queues
  • Please wear a mask in communal areas, these may be taken off in the studios or kept on if you prefer
  • Please follow the entrances and exits as set out by each venue (I will confirm this for each venue)
  • Please use the sanitiser provided (or you may bring your own if you prefer)
  • Please always maintain a 2-metre distance from other participants
  • Toilets will be available but must be used by only one class participant at a time.

During the Class

  • All classes are designed with distancing in mind. Participants will be using their own ‘space’ in the room.
  • No partner work, close contact, floorwork or travelling round the room will be included
  • Music will be kept to a lower level to avoid voices needing to be raised
  • All classes will still have an emphasis on fun and the joy of dance

On Leaving

  • Please exit the studio in the direction indicated by the teacher as swiftly as possible to allow for cleaning between classes
  • Please sanitise on exit
  • All touchpoints will be cleaned between each class
